Day 85

Whew! We made it back from our whirlwind adventure to London. We had a wonderful time with absolutely perfect weather. We walked many miles and covered a lot of ground. For as much as we did, we had no real issues. Enjoy the pictures!

Our first full day we headed out of the hotel and crossed over the Westminster Bridge. We wandered down Whitehall Road and then onto Trafalgar Square. We then walked up to Picadilly Circus and then to Leicster Square to see Lion King. It was a crazy busy day, but so much fun!

As we were on our way to Trafalgar Square, we made a quick stop to watch the Changing of the Horse Guards. The kids were mesmerized with all of the horses. It was a very fancy ceremony, but interesting to see all the horses and guards dressed up!

After watching the Changing of the Horse Guards, we headed to Trafalgar Square. We made a quick stop in the National Gallery since it has a free admission. We did some of the children's tour and then ended with showing Grammy the Renoir's, Monet's and Van Gogh's.

After the National Gallery, we walked down to Picadilly to Fortnum and Mason's. It is an amazing store and Tea House. They have several restaurants on several floors. We went to The Fountain and had tea and ice cream. Very yummy!

After our trip to Fortnum and Mason's we walked to the Lyceum Theater to see Lion King. This was our second time seeing the play and it was just as magical the second time. The children really enjoyed it again and couldn't quit talking about it after it was over.
