After a busy day of running all around London, we decided to just eat at Burger King at the Train Station by our hotel. While eating, Alden tells me his tooth hurts after biting a french fry. I looked in his mouth and saw some blood. So I grabbed a tissue to wipe off the tooth to see what happened and out the tooth came! We were all very surprised. It has been a little loose, but not that loose. He was so excited. He couldn't wait for the Tooth Fairy to come in London. So Grammy took the kids back to the hotel, while the "Tooth Fairy" searched all over for treasures. We normally do Pokemon cards and 1 euro here, but there were no Pokemon cards to be found. So instead the Tooth Fairy left him a couple treats from London to help him remember where he lost his first tooth! Then the "Tooth Fairy" had to go back to the hotel and work with the staff to write Alden's letter from the Tooth Fairy. It was quite the adventure! However, Alden woke up that next morning so excited that she had visited, he just couldn't contain himself. Yea Alden!
The second day we got up and ate breakfast at the hotel and walked back to Westminster Abbey. It wasn't opened to tourists when we passed by it yesterday, so we decided to go back for a visit today. It was just as amazing as I remembered. We did the children's hunt again. This time the kids remembered some of what they had already done from this summer. They loved searching for the answers. They even were able to speak to some of the workers and ask more detailed questions about things they were curious about. They especially enjoyed getting that gold coin again!
After leaving Westminster Abbey, we hopped on the underground and headed to Harrods. I had not been there since 7th grade. I don't really think I remembered it being that big or that ornate. It was huge! and CROWDED! We wandered around the toy section for a bit and then headed down to the food section. We picked up some yummy sandwich makings and fresh fruit and veggies for lunch.
